Ed, he was cooler than you

A good customer of the shop passed away recently at 82. Ed immigrated from Germany, joined the US army and eventually settled in Seattle. He would ride a motorcycle from there to Saint Paul Minnesota to work on his body suit with Don Nolan. Ed always wanted a Polynesian tattoo on his face and eventually made his way to Art Work Rebels to get tattooed by Joe Larralde. Joe tattooed his right cheek and they were working on artwork for the other cheek and forehead. Ed would stop in frequently to talk, and we’re bummed he won’t be back with more stories of the way tattooing was and should be.
