More New Stuff from Ross / The 23rd.

The 23rd is right around the corner, and we will again be offering up all of our flash designs for $150. The pin up/peacock is one of our newer designs, and last month Ross had the opportunity to tattoo it. The painting above is a small portion of a new painting by Ross, and earlier this week he had a bit of a high school reunion, as a former classmate drove down from Seattle to get this rose tattooed by him.

We offer all of our flash designs for $150 on the 23rd of each and every month, & are constantly drawing/painting new ones.

For booking with Ross, call the shop or e-mail him at sundelin@hotmail.com

Safety First

Ross Carlson’s mother is a nurse, & was nice enough to come over to the shop to brush up a few of the guys on their Blood Borne Pathogens training. Along with her wisdom- she brought her wit which explains a lot about Ross, & sweet delicious homemade banana bread. We’d all like to thank Christina for taking the time to put up with all of us & for not throwing Ross in a dumpster as a child.

The Bone Zone

Over the last few weeks Jeff P has put out some seriously bad ass tattoos that involve people’s favorite hobbies. Smoking, fucking, and dying. Now we know plenty of folks are interested in these topics, and since summer is just round the corner its time to forget about your farmer’s tan woes and start that sleeve you’ve always wanted.

Silly Animals

Ross & Jeff P. have been having their way with animals lately. Get your mind out of the gutter! Ross finished making a dirty rabbit ever so clean & dapper. While Ross cleaned up dirty animals; Jeff was busy angering cocks & promoting smoking and desecration to parrots everywhere.

For appointment inquiries with Ross or Jeff call the shop or email them directly.

Most Important Part About Eugene

Being in Portland we are spoiled with amazing food, and it’s no secret that the AWR crew loves food, so of course at the end of each day we were on the hunt for delicious food. If anyone could sniff it out; it was us & we succeeded. We enjoyed all of our meals in the company of The Dolorosa crew & Nikki from Tattoo Artist Magazine, and found great spots such as Brail’s which featured this tasty breakfast, the Horse Head had delicious pulled pork & fish sandwiches, and we ended the weekend & said our goodbyes at The Electric Station which featured amazing service and food in an impressively classy venue. We suggest you check out all these places.

More Eugene Convention

We were offering up our flash special all weekend by selecting a handful of our favorite sheets to bring with us & doing them for $150 all weekend. The response was positive, and we luckily got to adorn many in attendance with our flash tattoos as well as originals. One of our favorite parts about conventions is the company, & getting to reunite with old friends we don’t get to see often enough. In the photo above you see Mike V. tattooing Dave while the great Ross Ferrie of Acme Tattoo watches over the application. This weekend was Joel’s first convention as a tattooer and he hit the ground running right from the start, as he quickly was asked to tattoo one of our flash designs. Everything went well minus a blown capacitor on a machine borrowed from Ross. Ross is currently repairing said machine while enjoying his plaque he received for best large traditional.

The Road Down To Eugene

On Friday morning we hit the road from Portland to Eugene for the OregonInk convention that went through the weekend. Manny & Chris from The Dolorosa ventured down with us, so with our crew & all our gear we had quite the crammed rental van, but it was a fun little road trip nonetheless. After getting our booth set up Ross started off the convention by tattooing a throat from start to finish. His client was quite the trooper. We were fortunate enough to have our booth next to Fortune Tattoo & across from The Dolorosa, so we were very happy to be in good company the whole weekend. More words & photos to come.

Same Design. Different Tattoo.

This sexy shark slayer has become very popular amongst our flash designs. Ross Carlson painted this, and has been one of three guys in the shop to tattoo it. As you can see in the pictures- the same design can be executed differently by every tattooer, and we mention this as a reminder that flash tattoos are unique in their own right.

Gypsy Gentlemen.

The new Gypsy Gentlemen is out & it features our own Jason Kundell. Accompanied by our close friend George Campise. The two were invited to to join Marcus Kuhn for his latest installment of the online traveling tattoo series. The guys visited the Asian Art Museum & were ask to put together a tattoo based on the their inspiration from the museum. Although knowing the Boss he was in usual fashion. Lacing the episode w/ his own brand of humor & some of that colorful language only the Kundell charm can deliver. Great to see a tattoo show w/ real tattooers talking the way we all do. To check out the new episode follow the links on this page.
