Last week was one of many old friends & clients. We had Sung & Julian from Unbreakable, as well as Doug (Rebel8/Ex-Terror Guitarist) & our web guy; Gary from Studio4Nine. Having Gary in the shop put the grease in the wheel for the guys to get their new portfolios together, so hang in there folks- The website will be looking fresh real soon!

Friends from Unbreakable
This week we had some friends from Unbreakable Tattoo, Sung and Julian, stopped by to get some back work from Jason. Sung chipped chipped away at his a bit more, and Julian was lucky enough to to start a nice new fresh backpiece from Jason. It was great having them in the shop, and if you’re ever in LA make sure to check out Unbreakable and get some work done. For any of you questioning the tenderness of Mr. Kundell, take a peek at the pictures above to see how delicately Jason cradles your most sensitive areas. All of our guys’ paintings for the Year of The Dragon show at Seventh Son are done and shipped on down to SF, and everyone’s back to eating delicious sandwiches from Chop & making tattoos.
Jeff took a much deserved holiday vacation, and had to focus on his painting for the Year of the Dragon show upon arriving back in Portland, but now he’s back to his usual business of cranking out sweet traditional tattoos.

Art Work Rebels Shop Tour
Jason has been training with the guys at Nemesis Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for awhile now, and made friends out of many of his training partners. A lot of the guys over there also have become excellent clients for the shop as well. Recently, Ricky & Eric made this little video tour of Art Work Rebels. If you haven’t been able to stop in, and see the shop since it opened; check it out! Thanks again to all the folks at Nemesis.
Things around the shop have been business as usual. Joel whipped out a rose to fill up a little space on an arm, and Jason finished up this epic eagle cover-up piece. Jeff P. was lucky enough to stick it to the boss Saturday night and got to fill up a bit of what little space Jason has left. Rest assured, no lewd jokes were made while the Boss’s pants were down.

Year of the Dragon
Our friends at Seventh Son are hosting the Year of the Dragon art show on January 21st. If you’re in/around the Bay Area you should make a trip down to their shop and check out all of the amazing art that they’ll be showing. A host of awesome artists have sent in pieces to Seventh Son, that includes all the artists here at Art Work Rebels, and it’s going to be a really great time. Check out the flier above this post to see the list of artists that will have pieces at Year of the Dragon. Also included, a pic of Jeff doing a head tattoo, unrelated to Year of the Dragon.

A Preview of 2012
With the new year came new plans for trips around the country and globe for the guys at the shop. As previously mentioned- we are all featuring pieces in Seventh Son’s Year of the Dragon show which opens on January 21st. Trevor McStay’s Dynamic Tattoo in Australia will be having Jason over, and dates will be announced for that trip soon. Jeff P. will be making periodic trips to NYC to guest spot at Smith Street, so stay on your toes for that one.

Year of The Dragon
Happy New Year from Art Work Rebels! We hope everyone rung in the new year in a safe and enjoyable manner. The last couple days of 2011 were great, as everyone was busy with fun tattoos/clients. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish out the year. Moving on, 2012 is The Year of The Dragon, and the Art Work Rebels guys have all been working hard on their paintings for The Year of The Dragon art show in San Francisco at Seventh Son. This show will feature works created for the show by a ridiculously long list of amazing artists, and if you plan to be in the San Francisco area in late January; we suggest you check it out! Finally, as you probably have noticed, our website is currently under construction, as Jason, Jeff P., & Joe are refreshing their portfolios. Also, we will be adding the portfolios of Joel, Mike V., & Ross. Keep your eyes peeled, as we plan to have the site back up & better than ever in the next two weeks.
